Police charge man after St Kilda road rage incident

Port Phillip Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged a man following an alleged road rage incident involving a car and four e-scooter riders in St Kilda this month.

It’s understood four people were riding electric scooters along St Kilda Road when they had a verbal exchange with a female pedestrian about 10.45pm on Sunday, 13 February.

The woman was picked up by a man driving a yellow Ford before the vehicle was allegedly driven towards the four scooter riders.

Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident.

Following an extensive investigation, detectives executed a search warrant at a Craigieburn address on Wednesday, 23 February, and seized the vehicle allegedly involved in the incident.

Explosives, ammunition and drugs were also seized.

A 33-year-old Craigieburn man was arrested and has since been charged with 10 offences including reckless conduct endangering persons, unlicensed driving, cultivate cannabis and manufacture explosive device.

He has been remanded to face Broadmeadow Magistrates’ Court today.
