Police charge man over sexual touching, assault of girls in Kensington

A man will face court charged over the alleged sexual touching and assault of two girls in Sydney’s south earlier this month.

About 8.30pm on Friday 17 July 2020, two girls – aged 12 and aged 15 – were walking along Botany Road, Mascot, when they were approached by an unknown man.

Police will allege in court that the man and girls went to a unit at Kensington where he exposed himself, before touching the older girl and sexually touching the younger girl.

The girls left and officers from Eastern Beaches Police Area Command were notified.

Following inquiries, a 33-year-old man was arrested at Maroubra Police Station about 3.20pm yesterday (Monday 27 July 2020).

He was charged with assault child (aged between 14 and 16 years), incite other to do sexual act with them without consent, and two counts of intentionally sexually touch child (aged between 10 and 14).

The man was refused bail to appear at Waverley Local Court today (Tuesday 28 July 2020).
