Police charge man over supplying dangerous drugs, Varsity Lakes

Police have charged a man after allegedly uncovering a significant quantity of dangerous drugs at a Varsity Lakes unit.

Around 12.30am on Monday November 18, officers executed a search warrant on Varsity Parade, where they allegedly located cocaine, MDMA, steroids, illegal prescription medication and $6,850 cash.

The occupant was not home at the time.

Subsequent investigations led detectives to arrest a 23-year-old Varsity Lakes man the following day (Tuesday, November 19).

He has since been charged with five counts of possessing dangerous drugs and one count each of supplying dangerous drugs and possessing property suspected of being the proceeds of a drug offence.

He is scheduled to appear at the Southport Magistrates Court on December 9.
