Police Charge Pair After Dandenong Armed Robbery

Armed Crime Squad detectives charged a man and a woman after a man was allegedly assaulted and robbed in Dandenong yesterday.

It is alleged the male victim was walking along Scott Street when a shot was fired from a vehicle and two offenders exited the car before assaulting the man about 5.30am.

A number of personal belongings were then stolen from the 32-year-old man.

He was taken to hospital where he remains with serious injuries.

A 30-year-old Burwood man has been charged with armed robbery, prohibited person possess firearm, prohibited person use firearm, intentionally cause serious injury and recklessly cause serious injury.

A 29-year-old Burwood woman has been charged with armed robbery, intentionally cause serious injury and recklessly cause serious injury.

They will both appear at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court today.

The investigation remains ongoing.
