Police charge people after series of searches in Launceston

A number of people were arrested by Launceston Police yesterday after several searches were conducted in relation to the Kings Meadows and South Launceston shooting incidents.

After interviewing the 7 people in custody police can advise the following;

A 27 year old man from Rocherlea remains in custody however has not yet been charged with any offences.

A 34 year old man from St Leonards remains in custody but has not yet been charged with any offences.

A 29 year old man from West Launceston was arrested on warrant for failing to appear in court and bailed.

A 29 year old man from Prospect has been charged with drug driving and bailed.

A 28 year old man from Kings Meadows has been charged with driving offences and bailed.

A 19 year old woman from Summerhill has been charged with drug offences and bailed.

A 19 year old woman from Kings Meadows has been charged with drug offences, including sell a controlled drug, and bailed.

The investigation into the shooting incidents in Launceston on 10/3/20 and 11/3/20 remain ongoing and police have a clear line of enquiry.
