Police charge teen over Noarlunga Centre robbery, South Australia

A teenager was arrested today following investigations into a stabbing and robbery at Noarlunga Centre last week.

Just before 11pm, Wednesday 12 January, the 44-year-old victim was walking on Community Drive, Noarlunga Centre when he was approached by a group of up to seven males.

It will be alleged they demanded the man’s belongings, before knocking him to the ground and stabbing him in the back. The victim made his way to a nearby service station where he contacted police.

The victim suffered a laceration to his back and was conveyed by ambulance to the Flinders Medical Centre with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

A 17-year-old boy from the southern suburbs was arrested today by Southern District CIB detectives and charged with aggravated robbery. He was bailed to appear in the Christies Beach Youth Court on 3 March.

Investigations are continuing in relation to up to six other suspects in this matter.
