Police continue to investigate fatal pedestrian collision in Wedderburn

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives continue to investigate a fatal collision in Wedderburn on 2 June 2019.

Investigators have been told the man was walking south east along the Calder Highway with his guide dog when he was struck by a vehicle travelling in the same direction about 6.40am.

The 63-year-old man and his dog died at the scene.

The driver of a Hyundai sedan, a man in his 20s, stopped and rendered assistance before being transported to hospital with shock.

Investigators have received further information via Crime Stoppers and would like to speak to the person that made the call.
