Police continue to investigate road rage incident in Balwyn North

Boroondara police have released a computer generated image as their investigation into an alleged assault in Balwyn North continues.

Investigators have been told the 25-year-old woman was driving east in Oravel Street about 6.30pm on 26 April when a black hatch overtook her at speed.

The victim sounded her horn before the driver began to abruptly brake in front of her numerous times.

The victim pulled over in Arama Street and got out of her white Honda Civic when a verbal altercation occurred with the offending driver.

The offender punched the victim to the head which caused her to fall to the ground and strike her head.

He then proceeded to punch and threaten her as she tried to crawl away.

The offender was last seen headed north along Arama Street, then east onto Wandeen Street in the VW.

Witnesses and the victim’s mother were nearby and called emergency services.

The 25-year-old woman was taken to hospital with facial injuries, including a broken nose.

The offender is perceived to be Southern European in appearance, aged in his early 20s and about 175cm tall.

Investigators have released a computer generated image of a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquires.
