Police investigate armed robbery at Nerang

Police are investigating the armed robbery of a supermarket at Nerang overnight.

Around 7.45pm a man has entered the Station Street business and selected a number of items before approaching the counter.

As the 19-year-old female store attendant was scanning the items, the man produced a knife and made demands for money.

An amount of money was handed over by the store attendant and the man fled the scene.

No one was physically injured during the incident.

The man is described as Caucasian, around 175cm tall wearing a red cap, red shoes, white particle/dust face mask with a beard protruding out, black baggy pants and a loose grey sweatshirt.
