Police investigate armed robbery at Warwick

Detectives from Warwick Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) are investigating an armed robbery at Warwick on May 18.

Initial investigations indicate at approximately 12.30pm, four people have attended a Victoria Street store armed with knives and stolen a quantity of electrical goods.

One of the group damaged a door while exiting the store.

The group left the scene in a blue Mazda hatchback with false registration plates.

No one was physically injured.

The Mazda was observed a short time later, at approximately 12.45pm, travelling north on the New England Highway at Allora.

The vehicle was then tracked on the Warrego Highway heading towards Ipswich, before sight of the Mazda was lost.

Investigations into the armed robbery and traffic offences remain ongoing.
