Investigators are seeking public assistance with an investigation into an armed robbery on Tamborine Road on Saturday (June 11).
Shortly after 2am an 18-year-old man was walking along Tamborine Waterford Road when a vehicle pulled over, two men exited the vehicle wearing balaclavas and threatened the man with what appeared to be firearms.
The two men demanded the 18-year-old’s jacket, wallet and phone and he was struck in the face with the handle of the weapon by one of the men.
As the 18-year-old handed over his property, the other man shot him in the face with gel pellets only then he realised the firearms were gel blasters.
The two men fled in the vehicle, a Mitsubishi sedan. Police are seeking to speak with anyone with information or dash cam and CCTV footage from that area around 2am, June 11.
