Police investigate armed robbery atInala

Detectives are investigating following the armed robbery of a taxi driver in Inala this morning.

At around 10am a man hailed a taxi being driven along Spoonbill Street in Inala.

After being driven a short distance the man produced a small knife and demanded the driver return to Spoonbill Street and hand over a sum of cash.

The driver complied with the man’s demands before the man fled the taxi on foot.

The male taxi driver was not physically injured during the robbery.

The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, of a slim build and was last seen wearing a dark-coloured hoody.
