Police investigate Ballarat robbery

Ballarat Divisional Response Unit police are appealing for public assistance after a 22-year-old was assaulted during a robbery in Ballarat earlier this week.

Police have been told an Alfredton man was walking near Bridge Street and Time Lane when two men approached him about 2.30pm on 11 October.

The two men made demands for the victim’s phone before, one man threw him into a garden bed and began punching him.

The victim handed over his phone and the offenders fled the scene on foot.

The Alfredton man sustained minor injuries and did not require treatment.

Investigators have released images and CCTV footage of two men they wish to speak with in relation to the incident.

The first male is described as aged in his mid-20’s with dark spiked hair and wearing a red hooded jumper, olive green coloured three-quarter length pants and carrying a black backpack.

The second male is described as aged in his mid-20’s and wearing a white long sleeve t-shirt and blue cap with sunglasses on the back of his neck.
