Police investigate Coburg burglary and subsequent deceptions

Detectives from Moreland Crime Investigation Unit are investigating a burglary and subsequent deceptions which occurred in Coburg earlier this month.

Investigators have been told that a premises on Lobb Street was broken into between 3 – 9.45pm Sunday 5 July.

The offenders stole a number of items including jewellery, torches, bank card and personal papers.

The cards were then used at 10 service stations and two supermarkets in Fawkner, Campbellfield, Coburg and Pascoe Vale in the space of an hour and a half to purchase goods.

Investigators have been told the purchases were made by a man and a woman who were travelling in a black Ford Territory which was bearing stolen registration plates.

Detectives have released images of a woman who they believe can assist with their enquiries.
