Police investigate death of man in Derrimut

Homicide Squad detectives are currently investigating following the discovery of a man’s body in Derrimut this morning.

A call was initially made to police just after 11.15pm on 18 November stating a man had been seen lying in the middle of East Derrimut Crescent.

Attending police did not find anyone there but discovered a number of personal items on the roadway.

Officers from the Dog Squad also searched the area and surrounding streets and found what appeared to be blood in a number of locations.

Shortly after 6am, the body of a man was located on Boundary Road in Derrimut.

He was treated by emergency services however died at the scene.

While the exact circumstances are yet to be determined, at this time it is believed that the two incidents are likely to be linked.

The deceased man is still to be identified and the investigation remains ongoing.

Police are particularly keen to speak to anyone who was in or travelling through the Derrimut area last night, who may have witnessed the incident or have dash cam footage.
