Police are investigating a suspicious fire in Moonee Ponds this morning.
Emergency services were called to reports of a fire at a hair and nail salon on Shuter Street about 12.50am.
It is believed unknown offenders threw jerry cans into the closed business before it was set alight.
They fled in a light coloured vehicle north towards Puckle Street.
A crime scene has been established and the investigation is ongoing.
