Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man in Geelong overnight.
Emergency services were called to a hospital on the corner of Myers and Swanston streets about 2am.
Officers located a man, who is yet to be formally identified, deceased inside a room at the facility.
Another man, also a patient at the hospital, is currently under police guard.
The parties were known to each other.
