Police investigate indecent exposure outside Bairnsdale school

Bairnsdale Sexual Offences and Child Abuse Investigation Team detectives are appealing for public assistance following an indecent exposure outside a Bairnsdale school last week.

Investigators have been told a man driving a dark-coloured Ford sedan stopped outside the Grant Street gates on Tuesday, 16 May about 2pm.

The man wound down the car window and made eye contact with a child in the playground.

He exposed his genitals whilst inside the car and began masturbating.

The child ran off and notified teachers.

The male took off along Grant Street and turned left on Main Street towards the Bairnsdale town centre.

The man is perceived to be Caucasian in appearance, aged in his 30’s-40’s, clean shaven with possibly a bald head or a crew haircut.

Detectives are hoping someone in the area at the time may have dashcam that has captured the vehicle to assist investigators with their investigation.

Any witnesses or anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au.
