Police investigate Roxburgh Park home invasion

Detectives from the Armed Crime Squad are investigating following a home invasion in Roxburgh Park early this morning where two males were injured.

Police have been told three armed men entered the Maisie Court address about 4.40am on 15 November.

The men then confronted a 44-year-old man inside the house, assaulting him to the head and upper body with knives.

A 16-year-old boy from the house attempted to intervene and sustained a hand injury.

At some stage during the altercation, group threatened the occupants with a firearm and it’s believed a shot was discharged inside the property.

The men then left the property and fled from the area.

The 44-year-old man was taken to hospital by paramedics in a critical condition, while the teenage boy was later conveyed to hospital by a family member.

Four females and a boy who were also home at the time of the incident were not physically injured.

No arrests have been made and the investigation remains ongoing.

At this time it appears to be a targeted attack, however the motivation for the incident remains unclear.

Detectives are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or who was in the area and has dashcam or CCTV footage.
