Homicide Squad detectives are investigating after a man died in Sale this morning.
Police were called to the intersection of York Street and MacAlister Street about 1am after reports a man had been stabbed.
Officers located the man and immediately provided first aid until ambulance crews arrived but were unable to save him.
Investigators are yet to establish the exact circumstances surrounding the incident and the investigation is ongoing.
Police have closed the intersection and traffic diversions are in place.
