Police are searching for two drivers after an attempt to intercept a van in Airport West on Friday, 28 April.
The incident began when police intercepted a Mercedes Benz Vito van on Fraser St about 11.30pm, having noticed it was bearing allegedly stolen registration plates.
The driver of the van sped off and is yet to be found.
As the police car was pulling over, a truck carrying an excavator collided with it.
Police officers involved in the collision sustained minor injuries.
The driver of the truck, which is believed to be stolen, ran off having subsequently crashed the vehicle into a tree and brick wall of a house.
They were last seen running towards High Ridge Crescent.
Nobody was inside the property at the time of the incident.
A police search of the surrounding area involving the Dog Squad and Air Wing failed to find either driver.
