Westgate Highway Patrol officers are appealing for dashcam footage as they investigate a collision in Tarneit this morning.
Emergency services were called to reports a pedestrian was hit by a silver Subaru on Tarneit Road about 2.40am.
The female pedestrian was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The male driver of the car stopped at the scene.
The exact circumstances surrounding the collision are yet to be established and the investigation is ongoing.
