Police are appealing for assistance after two people fled the scene of a crash in Sydney’s east overnight.
Emergency services were called to the intersection of New South Head Road and Mona Road, Edgecliff, following reports of a collision about 12am (Friday 2 October 2020).
Police were told a black Porsche Macan S was travelling south on Mona Road when it allegedly drove through a red traffic light and crashed into a Toyota Camry.
The male driver of the Porsche and his female passenger got out of the car and fled the scene before police arrived.
The driver of the Toyota and his four passengers were uninjured in the crash.
Officers from Traffic and Highway Patrol Command attended the scene and commenced an investigation.
As part of inquiries, police would like to speak to two people they believe may be able to assist them with their inquiries.
The man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged in his 30s, medium build with a bald head and dark beard. He was seen wearing tight grey pants, a black t-shirt and white sneakers.
The woman is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged in her 30s, slim build with long dark hair. She was seen wearing a light-coloured skirt or pants, a black top and a black jacket.
