Police investigating after stabbing in Kingswood

Police have commenced an investigation after a man was stabbed in Sydney’s west yesterday.

About 6.45pm (Wednesday 21 July 2021), emergency services were called to Somerset Street, Kingswood, following reports of a stabbing.

Officers from Nepean Police Area Command attended and found a 23-year-old man with stab wounds to his chest and hands.

The man was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics, before he was taken to Westmead Hospital in a serious condition.

He later underwent surgery for injuries that are not considered life-threatening.

A crime scene was established, and an investigation commenced into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
