Police are investigating a deliberately lit fire at Cotton On in Launceston around 5.15pm last night.
Initial investigations suggest a quantity of clothing was set alight at the front of the building on St John Street.
The fire was quickly extinguished by the buildings inbuilt sprinkler system along with staff members inside the building.
Anyone with information that would assist the police investigation is asked to contact police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers anonymously on 1800 333 000.
