Police are investigating a fire that destroyed the Baden Hall south of Oatlands early this morning.
Around 6.55am emergency services responded to reports of a fire at the Hall which was built in the early 1900s for use by the Baden Community, but has been privately owned for a number of years.
Tasmania Fire Service extinguished the fire and determined it was deliberately lit.
A 41-year-old man from the Southern Midlands is assisting police with their enquiries.
Anyone with information in relation to the fire, or suspicious activity in the area around the time is asked to contact police on 131 444 or report through Crime Stoppers Tasmania.
