Police investigating shooting incident at North Brisbane

Queensland Police are investigating after a man was reportedly shot in Brisbane’s north this evening.

Initial investigations indicate just before 6pm, a man was in a verbal altercation with the driver of a vehicle at a car park near Nancy Bird Way, Brisbane Airport.

During this altercation, it is understood an occupant of the vehicle presented a firearm and shot the man outside the vehicle.

The vehicle then fled the area.

The man was transported to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The incident did not take place near the Brisbane Domestic or International Terminals.

Investigations into locating the vehicle and its occupants are ongoing, however, police believe there is no ongoing threat to the public.

Investigators are appealing to anyone who may have been in the area around the time of the incident or may have dashcam/CCTV vision to contact police.
