Police investigating wounding at Margate

Redcliffe detectives have charged a man with unlawful wounding following the alleged stabbing of a man last night (November 2).

It will be alleged that at approximately 10.30pm on Rosewood Crescent at Margate an altercation has occurred in which a 54-year-old Margate man suffered stab wounds.

The man was transported in a serious but stable condition to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.

Investigations led police to take a 52-year-old man into custody.

It will be alleged the men are known to each other.

The 52-year-old man has been charged with unlawful wounding, assault occasioning bodily harm, enter dwelling with intent and possessing dangerous drugs.

He is expected to appear in Redcliffe Magistrates Court today (November 3).
