Police Investigating Wounding Incident At Maroochydore

Police are appealing for public assistance following a reported wounding at Maroochydore last night, 11 June.

Emergency services were called to Duporth Avenue around 10:20pm following reports a 20-year-old Buderim man had been stabbed.

He was transported to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers conducted subsequent patrols; however, they were unable to locate the offender, believed to be a woman.

Police are appealing for anyone with relevant information or dashcam footage from the area between 10:10pm and 10:40pm to contact police.

Investigations into the circumstances of the incident and into locating the woman are ongoing.
