Police Lay Armed Robbery Charges At Mount Louisa

Detectives have charged a man following an armed robbery in Mount Louisa on Thursday, 14 August.

It will be alleged at 3.30pm, the man entered a bottle shop on Banfield Drive and threatened the staff member with a knife, demanding money.

The staff member complied, and the man fled with a sum of cash and a bottle of liquor.

On Friday 15 August, police executed a search warrant at a Pongamia Parade in Mount Low residence and arrested a man.

The 21-year-old Mount Low man has been charged with one count of armed robbery and possession of tainted property.

He will reappear in the Townsville Magistrates Court on 1 October.
