Police lay armed robbery charges at Palmview

Police have arrested a man in relation to an armed robbery of a service station in Palmview this morning.

At about 4.45am the man entered the service station and presented a knife to an attendant before demanding money.

The attendant refused and the man fled the store a short time later with a quantity of goods.

No one was injured during the incident.

A 19-year-old Palmview man has been charged with five counts of enter premises and commit indictable offence, three counts of stealing, one count each of burglary and commit indictable offence, enter dwelling with intent, robbery whilst armed, possession of dangerous drugs, possession of a knife in a public place and two counts of possess utensils

He will appear before the Maroochydore Magistrates Court on tomorrow (April 15).
