Police lay arson charges in Logan, QLD

Police have charged a 26-year-old man with 10 offences following investigations into multiple fires that were allegedly lit at Edens Landing in Logan in early September this year.

Around 3.40am it is alleged an attempt was made to break into a Grove Road property around 3.40am on September 3, where a bin was set on fire at the front of the property.

Five other vehicles were also allegedly set alight along the adjoining street, Holliday Drive.

No one was physically injured as a result of the fires.

Following extensive investigations by Beenleigh Criminal Investigation Branch, detectives located and arrested a 26-year-old Beenleigh man yesterday, September 21.

He has been charged with four counts of arson, three counts of endanger property by fire, and one count each of attempted arson, attempted enter dwelling and unlicensed driving.

He is expected to appear at Beenleigh Magistrates Court today, September 22.
