Police lay charges after Ballarat aggravated burglaries

Three teens have been charged following a series of alleged aggravated burglaries, an attempted theft of motor vehicle and a theft of motor vehicle overnight.

The trio were arrested on Albert Street in Sebastopol following reports of an aggravated burglary in nearby Lake Gardens about 5.30am.

It is alleged the trio entered the Lake Gardens Avenue property and attempted to steal a vehicle before feeling empty-handed.

Police were able to track the trio following an incident in nearby Alfredton after they stole a vehicle.

All three males, aged 15 and 14 from Ballarat and 17 from Sebastopol, have each been charged with;

• aggravated burglary;

• attempted aggravated burglary (x 2)

• theft of motor vehicle (x 2); and

• bail related offences

They will appear at a children’s court at a later date.
