Police lay charges after Nerang PSPA, Helensvale armed robbery

Police have charged two men following an emergency declaration at Nerang and an armed robbery at Helensvale last week.

A 25-year-old Tugan man has been charged with three counts of unauthorised possession of medicines, three counts of possessing dangerous drugs, one count each of stealing, receiving tainted property, armed robbery, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, possession of a shortened firearm and possess explosives (ammunition).

A 32-year-old Labrador man has been charged with wilful damage, stealing, receiving tainted property, armed robbery, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, possessing dangerous drugs, possession offense to possess medicines, possession of a shortened firearm, possess explosives (ammunition) and possess property suspected of having been used in connection with the commission of a drug offence.

They will both face Southport Magistrates Court today (June 11).
