Police lay charges – Aggravated robbery in Darwin 13 June

Northern Territory Police have charged multiple youths who allegedly assaulted a taxi driver on Peel Street last night.

At 11:30pm, police received reports from a male victim who fled from his own vehicle after five youths entered the car and allegedly assaulted him.

Police attended and the youths fled from the scene, stealing a quantity of cash from the car.

CCTV operators assisted general duties and dog operations officers to locate and apprehend the youths in a carpark between Smith Street and Cavenagh Street.

The boys, aged 12 to 15, are expected to be charged with aggravated robbery and serious breach of bail. They are expected to appear in court at a later date.
