Police lay charges – Aggravated robbery – Woodroffe 23 June

Northern Territory Police have charged three people in relation to an aggravated robbery in Woodroffe yesterday.

At around 4:30pm, two males and a female entered a licenced business on Baldwin Drive, where they allegedly stole a quantity of alcohol before assaulting an employee and fleeing the scene.

Police arrested the trio a short time later and have since charged a 21-year-old male with aggravated robbery and aggravated assault. A 35-year-old male and 28-year-old female have both been charged with aggravated robbery.

All are expected to face court at a later date.

Detective Senior Sergeant Brett Cottier said, “Detectives from Serious Crime are still investigating this incident and are urging any witnesses to make contact on 131 444. Please quote reference 10040265.

“An employee was callously assaulted in his workplace for a small amount of alcohol. The behaviour of these three is completely unacceptable.”
