Police lay charges over Kangaroo Ground fatal

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives have charged a 58-year-old Rhyl woman following the death of a woman in Kangaroo Ground on 5 June.

Investigators have been told a white four-wheel drive and a small Toyota hatch collided on Kangaroo Ground – Warrandyte Road about 3.20pm.

A 28-year-old Ringwood woman who was the passenger in the hatch was airlifted to hospital with life threatening injuries but later died.

Detectives have charged the 58-year-old with dangerous driving causing death and dangerous driving causing serious injury.

She has been bailed to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 2 December 2020.
