Police looking for driver of stolen car, South Australia

Police are looking for the driver of a stolen car which was spotted at Wayville tonight.

Just before 6.30pm on Monday 30 March, patrols located a stolen Commodore sedan at Anzac Highway and Greenhill Road and tried to pull over the driver. He refused but police did not pursue the car and maintained tactical observations until spikes were deployed at the intersection of George Street and East Avenue at Clarence Park. The Commodore continued to travel south over Cross Road and was last seen turning off Winston Avenue.

Police then found the car abandoned in Dinwoodie Ave at Clarence Gardens a short time later. A search of the area with the assistance of police dog Havoc, failed to locate the driver or his female passenger.

Investigations are continuing and anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or online at www.crimestopperssa.com.au

The Commodore was stolen from a Mile End address on Saturday 21 March.
