Police make arrest – Aggravated assault – East Arnhem Region

Northern Territory Police have arrested a man in relation to multiple domestic violence incidents that occurred earlier this year.

It is alleged that the 28-year-old had assaulted his partner while residing in Darwin back in May, before further assaulting her and another relative in a remote community in July.

The man had been actively avoiding police when they received information into his whereabouts, and arrested him at a residence.

He was charged with three counts of aggravated assault and remanded in custody to face Darwin Local Court today.
