Police make arrest – Aggravated Assault – Palmerston 28 July

Northern Territory Police have arrested a man after a Minibus driver was assaulted in Palmerston yesterday.

Around 3:50pm, the male driver was flagged down on Temple Terrace by two people seeking to use the bus.

An altercation occurred with one of the passengers allegedly assaulting the driver, causing him to fall to the ground.

The driver was conveyed to Royal Darwin Hospital after suffering a broken leg and multiple broken teeth during the incident.

A 32-year-old man was arrested a short time later and remains in police custody expected to be charged later today.
