Police Make Arrests – Aggravated Robbery In Darwin 24 February

The Northern Territory Police Force has arrested two people following an aggravated robbery at a premises in the Darwin CBD.

The Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre received reports close to 5am on Tuesday of a hold-up alarm at a convenience store.

CCTV footage captured three offenders enter the store before leaving shortly after in a parked vehicle where a driver was waiting.

It is alleged that one of the offenders threw a milk crate at the shop attendant, causing minor facial injuries.

A quantity of cigarettes was allegedly stolen from the store.

Strike Force Trident located a vehicle of interest in Jingili and initiated a pursuit before successfully deploying tyre-deflation devices on McMillans Road.

Four occupants were seen fleeing the vehicle.

Two offenders – a 15-year-old male and an 18-year-old female were arrested.

The male youth was apprehended by PD Wedge.

The female adult was arrested at the vehicle.

A third offender remains outstanding.

The male was conveyed to Hospital for assessment.
