Police Make Arrest – Stolen Motor Vehicle In Darwin 10 April

Northern Territory Police have arrested a male in relation to a stolen motor vehicle in Darwin yesterday evening.

Around 7:00pm, police received reports of a motor vehicle being driven erratically by a male youth on the Malak oval.

Earlier in the evening the owner of the vehicle had reported it stolen from a business in Eaton and noted their dog Ralph, was on the back seat at the time of the theft.

About 7:30pm, police located the vehicle crashed and abandoned in Karama. The offender had run from the vehicle, before allegedly threatening an occupant of a residence in Karama with an edged weapon.

A short time later the offender was located and arrested in Karama in possession of the stolen car keys and the edged weapon.

The 17 year-old offender remains in custody with charges expected to follow.

Ralph was later reunited with his owner by police.
