Police make arrests – Robbery at Casuarina

Northern Territory Police have arrested 3 youths after multiple robberies in Casuarina yesterday.

Around 12pm, police received reports that the group had entered a service station on Trower Road, Casuarina, before threatening an employee with jet lighters.

The female youths have caused damaged throughout the store before attempting to assault an employee with a pair of scissors and fleeing the scene.

The group have attended another service station on the same road and stolen small items before again fleeing the scene.

Detectives From Strike Force Trident deployed and tracked the group to a nearby carpark. While apprehending 2 of the offenders after a foot chase, one officer was assaulted multiple times by the offenders. The officer did not suffer any serious injuries and all 3 offenders were subsequently arrested.

Two 14-year-old were charged with multiple counts of Aggravated Robbery, Assault Police and Resist Police. A 13-year-old was charged with Aggravated Robbery, Assault Police, Resist Police and Damage to Property. All of the youths have been remanded to appear in court today.
