A 32-year-old male senior constable from the South Eastern Region has been served with a notice to appear in relation to alleged assault of another person.
The member has been charged with common assault, allegedly committed on duty.
He has been stood down from the Queensland Police Service and is expected to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court on 25 September 2025.
In keeping with our commitment to high standards of behaviour, transparency and accountability, we have undertaken to inform the public when a member of the Service faces serious allegations of misconduct.
This does not mean that the allegations against the member have been substantiated.
