A female pedestrian has died following a traffic crash at Edmonton near Cairns this morning, March 8.
At approximately 1.40am at the intersection of the Bruce Highway and Mill Road, a woman in her 20s was struck by a vehicle.
She was declared deceased at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle, an 18-year-old woman, was not physically injured and is assisting police with enquiries.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances of the crash.
