Police responding to fatal traffic crash at New Beith 1 December

Police are investigating following a fatal crash at New Beith last night (November 30).

Early information indicates at about 6.30pm three men in their 20’s were travelling along Dungaree Drive, heading towards Pub Lane, when the driver lost control of the vehicle, left the roadway and crashed into a tree.

Emergency services officers attempted to revive the rear passenger, a 22-year-old Jimboomba man, who was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver, a 23-year old Greenbank man and the front passenger, a 21-year old Springfield Lakes man, sustained minor injuries.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
