Police responding to fatal traffic crash at Surfers Paradise

A 93-year-old woman has died following a two-vehicle crash at Surfers Paradise on Monday evening.

Initial investigations suggest around 7:30pm, the woman was travelling south along Remembrance Drive in a Honda City sedan.

A Toyota Corolla travelling in the opposite direction has attempted to turn into Clifford Street when the collision has occurred.

Paramedics rendered assistance to the woman, however she died a short time later.

The 71-year-old female driver was transported to Gold Coast University Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The 25-year-old woman driving the Toyota Corolla was not physically injured.

The Forensic Crash Unit continue investigations in to the circumstances of the crash and anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has dashcam footage, is urged to contact police.
