Police responding to motor vehicle crash at Lachlan Road, Lachlan

Shortly after 3pm on Sunday the 29th of November 2020, police attended a single vehicle car crash on Lachlan Road at Lachlan, which resulted in a white Commodore station wagon flipping onto its roof, and the driver being trapped in the vehicle for around 90 minutes.

At the time of the crash, the vehicle contained four teenage occupants. The driver and one passenger were subsequently conveyed to hospital, while the other two passengers received treatment at the scene. The driver is suspected to have multiple fractures from the crash.

Initial enquiries indicate the vehicle had travelled from a local park in Lachlan immediately before the crash. Anyone who observed the crash, or the vehicle immediately prior, is requested to contact New Norfolk Police or Crime Stoppers.

Investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing, however inexperience and speed are likely contributing factors.
