Police responding to multi-vehicle crash at driver arrested after fleeing scene in Roselands

A man has been arrested after fleeing the scene of a multi-vehicle crash in Roselands this morning.

About 3.30am (Friday 14 June 2019), emergency services were called to Canterbury Road, near Ernest Street, Roselands, following reports three cars have collided.

The driver of a Land Rover, and sole occupant, fled the scene after allegedly crashing into a fence of a home, causing the car to flip.

Officers from Campsie Police Area Command established a crime scene and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.

The driver of the second vehicle was treated at the scene and was taken to Bankstown Hospital for minor injuries.

The driver of the third vehicle was uninjured.

Police arrested a man nearby. He was taken to Canterbury Hospital for mandatory testing.

As inquiries continue, anyone with information is urged to come forward.
