Police responding to serious traffic crash at Beenleigh 6 December

Police are investigating after a serious traffic crash involving a bus and a truck at Beenleigh earlier today.

Around 9.35am emergency services were called after a bus that had stopped on the side of the road was struck by a truck with a trailer on the M1 southbound near Distillery Drive.

The bus was carrying a group of students aged 14 and 15 years, and a teacher from a school at Calamvale, when it was struck.

There were 11 people transported to hospital, 10 of those were students.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the crash or any dashcam in the area to assist their investigation.
